wishlist wednesday

This wishlist is a bit different. I'm trying to get used to the idea of being a poor student, so I'm not letting myself look online.

1. I want American Idol back. Pia Toscano (from last season) has a new song on youtube and I think it's really good. Still waiting around for Haley to bring out a song though! I love her, especially her cover of You & I! Do you watch American Idol? Who was your favourite last year?

2. I also want Gossip Girl season 5 to be on. It seems like it's been gone for ages! Anyone have any idea when it'll be back? I need a fix of Ed Westwick! Whose style do you prefer, Serena's or Blair's?

3. My e.l.f order! I get that it was bank holiday and blah blah blah but it seems to be taking longer than it should. Are you waiting for any orders?

4. My father to go back to work. At the moment, it's the second week of both my parents' two weeks off work, I'm at home, and my brother doesn't go back to school until next week. As much as I love my dad, I cannot cope with being in the same room as him for so long every single day for two weeks. I'm on the verge of becoming a murderer. Anyone else's parents driving them insane?

Anyone have any actual material things on their wishlist?
Hope you're all having a good day!

P.S. I have a paedoriffic crush on the Biebs.

e.l.f lipstick - gypsy

I haven't even had this lipstick two weeks yet, and it's already up there in my top five. E.l.f describe it as "deep cool pink sheer", which I totally disagree with. For one, it's not sheer. I also don't think it's pink, it seems more purple toned to me. Anyway..

bottom left - without flash, bottom right - with flash.
it actually looks a deeper colour on my lips in real life.

Sorry about the creepy smile haha. The lipstick is £1.50 here and it smells like blackcurrant, nom. It also feels very moisturising, quite like a lipbalm. My packaging is really nice and chic, completely different to the one on the website for some reason.

Overall, very impressed with this lipstick! Definitely going to try out some more (she says as if she hasn't already placed another e.l.f order..). I'm also impressed with e.l.f, they delivered it really quickly. My second order hasn't came yet but I ordered on the weekend and it's been bank holiday so that's to be expected really :).

Anyone indulge in the e.l.f sale?
What's your favourite e.l.f product?
P.S, am I the only one messed up from bank holiday? I get so confused what day it is!

one of those days

My sympathies to anyone having "one of those days", suck don't they?! I got hardly any sleep last night so my skin is a mess today (& I have HUGE shadows under my eyes, hence the looking down poses hah) and I've been all tired & miserable, then all my IntenseDebate comments disappeared from my last post, grr!

top & tights: next
skirt: h&m, obviously hah.

I originally had the top sort of tied together, so a bit of my belly was showing, if that makes any sense? It actually looked better like that but I didn't feel comfortable so I resorted to tucking it in.

Anyone watch x-factor last night? I'm falling in love with Kelly Rowland! How cute was that boy who was in love with her?! I loved Johnny too, he seems like such a genuinely nice person :) I also loved Craig Colton (I think that was his name anyway) & the girl whose name I can't remember, but she was raised by her auntie?

Hope you've had a lovely day so far!

A/W capsule wardrobe ideas

I'm really sorry if I'm boring you by going on about university, but it's basically all I can think about at the moment! I was thinking that, since I'm going to be a skint student, I should try and get a capsule wardrobe. Anyone got any ideas on what I can include? I've been messing around on polyvore trying to come up with ideas but it'd be really nice to have your input :).

A/W capsule wardrobe ideas

bag: aldo at asos, £40

snood: miss selfridge, £16

top: topshop, £40

skirt: h&m, £19.99

shoes: topshop, £60

coat: h&m, £34.99

What other sort of items would you suggest?

Have you started A/W shopping yet? What are your A/W essentials?

Have a good day!

what i wore - cinemas

Wore this to the cinemas yesterday, it was such a disaster! My mother & I both told my dad to book tickets online and he told us he had, but we got to the cinema (after him missing hundreds of parking spaces) and he admitted he hadn't because he wanted to use orange wednesday. Then we went into the cinemas and the film we wanted to see was sold out, so we had to go to another cinema. Cue lots of arguments.

top: next
shorts & belt: republic
tights: next
bag: primark
nails: nailene falsies with o.p.i hot n spicy

When we eventually got to the cinema, we watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes. It made me want to marry James Franco and adopt a monkey. It was really good, not as boyish as I expected it to be; definitely worth a watch if you haven't already seen it!

Accepted the fact that my nails will never be as naturally long as I want them to be, so I may as well just chuck false ones on when I want long nails :). I use nailene ones, I've ripped the packaging off but I think you get 200 nails, glue, and a file for about £5? And I got mine from Tesco. Also wore my favourite lip combination at the moment, e.l.f gipsy worn as a stain with e.l.f lip balm in peaceful pink over the top. What's your favourite lip combo?

Any upcoming films you want to see in the cinema?
What's your take on false nails?

wishlist wednesday

Am I the only one that thinks this year's A/W stock is a little bit better than usual? Seriously, I want everything!

1. This jumper, £12.99 from h&m.
2. You know the band t-shirts in h&m at the moment? Well I like too many of them to include pictures of all of them, but I want The Beatles one, the Ramones one, the Guns'n'roses one and the Rolling Stones one. This is the link to them. I'm relatively sure there was one picture of the model and then they just photoshopped the t-shirts on top of her. That probably makes no sense, but if you click the link and flick through the photos you might get what I mean. Oh, and they're £9.99 (though I'm sure they were only £7.99 in the catalogue, could be wrong though).

3. These boots from h&m, £39.99. They came in a different colour in the catalogue but I can't find it on the website :/ I just think they'd be perfect paired with tights & cable-knits in the winter! I have a code for 25% off so I'm definitely considering getting them!

What's on your wishlist? Are you excited for A/W clothing?
P.S., can you tell a h&m leaflet was delivered today hah.

book review #1 - water for elephants

Can someone please tell me why I didn’t read this sooner?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll probably know about the film Water for Elephants, staring R-Patz and Reese Witherspoon. It’s based on the book Water for Elephants, by Sarah Gruen, the #1 New York Times Bestseller. And it definitely deserved it!

This review will probably sound cheesy but I can’t help it. I’m in love with this book. It tells the story of Jacob Jankowski, who isn’t sure if he’s 90 or 93 years old. It’s written in first person and he flits between his current age and the age he was when he spent time with the circus. I, like many people, don't normally tend to like it when books jump from one time, to another, and back to the first one. But in Water for Elephants, it's done really well - I'm actually glad it was done in two times, the book seems better to me than it would've if it was just written about him when he was younger. I’m not going to go into plot details because it’s one of those things that you HAVE to find out for yourself.

Sarah Gruen created some amazing characters, it's a bit cliche but she "brought them to life." She made me fall in love with the characters; I want to be them and have friends like them. I get far too into books, so I ended up feeling like I actually did know the characters in real life hah. The book made me cry with sadness, laugh out loud and cry with happiness. If you haven’t read this book, you should!

Have you read the book/seen the film? What did you think of the book/film? If you’ve read the book and seen the film, how do you think they compare?

twirl

Afternoon! I've had a lovely lazy day (again) today, just got lots of reading done and took the dog out for a walk. Also took outfit photos up my Bampy's house, the dog looked very confused by this random turn of events.

top & skirt: h&m
tights: not sure, i have too many pairs of tights hah.
shoes: primark (they're leopard print, not sure if you can tell).

I've been panicking about uni accommodation because it seems like everyone else has been told about their accommodation and I haven't! But I tweeted Aberystwyth yesterday and they replied saying I'll find out from Wednesday onwards :) They also e-mailed me today to tell me about a welcome booklet they're sending me and all the e-mails I should expect to receive. They have a really awesome service, I haven't even left yet and they've already made me feel really welcome! What university are you going to? What will you study? Oh, before I forget, good luck to everyone who gets their GCSE results soon!

Have a read of this website, it's been keeping me amused for a while now!

On another, less positive note, my mother's just informed me I have a dentist appointment tomorrow. I HATE DENTISTS. waaaaaah.

Have a good day!

Sunday, 21 August 2011

hello!

I bucked my ideas up yesterday and stopped moping around feeling sorry for myself hah. My boyfriend came over, I got dressed (properly, instead of staying in pyjamas/comfies like I normally do when he comes down) and generally made myself feel better about myself.

top: primark, new.
shorts: asos, v. old.

lipstick :e.l.f - gypsy
(yes I do have a poster of Audrey Hepburn)

What do you make of this top? I was a bit unsure whether to get it but then I did the usual thing one does when in primark - "it's only primark, may as well" haha. I think it was £7. It came in another colour too, which I think was navy (don't quote me on that though) but I have enough blue clothes so thought I'd go for this shade!

Anyone end up watching the x-factor? I forced my boyfriend to watch it *evil laugh* & he repaid me by telling me he plans to fatten me up & give me spots ready for when I go to uni to "ruin [me] for all other men" hahah. He was joking, I think. Anyway, I digress. What did you think of Janet Devlin? I thought she was alright, but I hated the way everyone was like "oh em gee she's amazing" - she was basically Ellie Goulding, yes?

The lipstick I have on in the picture is e.l.f - gypsy, which I seem to have worn constantly since I got it! Must remember to review it!

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

catch up/summary

1. I don't really like the x-factor. It annoys me how people like Cher Lloyd/Katie What's-her-name get through to the live-shows and I just complain for the duration of the programme. But, for some reason, I watch it anyway. Anyone going to be watching it later? I probably will, even if just to see what the judges are like this year!

2. It hasn't really sunk in that I'm actually going to be at university in just over a month! Anyone else feel like that?! I'm currently on edge waiting to find out what accommodation I'll be in *prays for an en-suite*. Oh, and I'll be in a long-distance relationship - eek. Anyone else going to be in (or already in) one?

3. I have a hideous cold. Normally I just man up and get over my colds, but this time I feel like the weather (which is basically grey) has given me an excuse to mope about haha.

4. Was going to follow back my new followers earlier but GFC isn't showing up on my blog for some reason. Promise I'll follow back when it lets me!

Now I'm going to tidy my bedroom, start a list of things to take to uni, and then get back to moping! What are your plans for the rest of the day?
Happy Saturday, people :)

what i wore - geek

How did everyone celebrate results night? I went to Cardiff with about 20 other girls from school all dressed up as geeks hah. I won't include photos of anyone else because I don't want them to know I have a blog & I wouldn't like to put their pictures here without permission.

shirt & tie - school uniform (cut the sleeves off)
shorts - next (almost two years old)
shoes - h&m
ring - next
glasses - 3d glasses from the cinema hah.

My arms and legs were actually the same colour in real life, I think the lighting for this picture must've been off. The tan I used was a combination of 17 Instant Glow Wash Off Self Tan in Light Shimmer and Beyond Bronze by Fake Bake in Matte Light.

I kept changing the way my top was styled throughout the night. At one point one half was tucked into the shorts & the other was out, at another I sort of tied the shirt into a crop top. I did try to take pictures when I got home, but it was 3:30am and I was drunk, so you can imagine how well that worked out!

Also wore false eyelashes for the first time. I ended up getting Eylure Naturalites (I think) for just over £5 from Boots. To be honest, my eyes didn't look all that different - it was only really noticeable in photos. At least I avoided looking like a drag queen :)

Hope everyone has a good day & a lovely weekend!

e.l.f lip balm

Hello! I didn't think I'd be posting today as I expected to be devastated by my results hah; but I got the grades I needed for uni! I'm a bit miffed as I know I could've & should've done better, but I got into uni so that's all that matters :) Hope everyone else got what they wanted/needed!

Anyway, the other day I ordered e.l.f conditioning lip balm spf 15 in Peaceful Pink. I ordered on Saturday and it turned up on Wednesday, rather quick yes?

I have a love/hate relationship with the packaging. It does look quite chic, but it's a bit chunky to be carrying around all the time. It's also at a bit of an awkward angle to get the lip balm onto your finger.

Without flash:

With flash:

And this is how it looks on:

Overall, I'm really pleased with it! It's a lovely colour and works really well; it also has a weirdly nice smell! It's not too strong on the lips but you can smell it in the pot. It costs £3.50 from here.

What do you think of e.l.f? Any recommendations on what products I should try next?
Hope everyone's having a lovely day!

non-wishlist wednesday - return of the fringe

Everyone that commented on "to fringe or not to fringe" seemed to prefer me with a fringe, my boyfriend prefers me with a fringe, and so does my hairdresser. So I took the plunge. Well actually, my mother made me take the plunge. She knew I couldn't decide what to have done so she booked an appointment for me & told the hairdresser to give me a fringe, no matter how much I protested. Damn woman, haha.

I don't feel like I can do a wishlist Wednesday today; I went shopping earlier, I've received two online orders this week, and I've had my haircut. Wishing now would just be greedy. So here I am with my fringe..

Please excuse my face haha, I've had a long day! Didn't sleep very well then woke up at 7, r.i.p me! There's probably a grand total of zero make-up left on my face since my hairdresser isn't particularly careful when washing my hair, but I was initially wearing e.l.f tinted moisturiser spf 20 in Nude, topshop cream blusher in High Five, and some sort of e.l.f lipstick in Gypsy :) (reviews soon!)

How nice is it having your hair washed by someone else? I swear I was this close *holds fingers about a mm apart* to falling asleep, it's so relaxing. It's a shame I didn't fall asleep, since I basically get no sleep the night before exam results! I don't understand why though; even if I don't get the grades I need, there's always clearing! & even if I fail, I can just re-do year 13.

What are you wishing for this week? Are you a fan of fringes/'bangs'? Anyone else have trouble sleeping when they're nervous? Good luck to everyone who gets their results tomorrow, hope you have lots to celebrate about!

booky wooky

Ok, I admit it. I was one of the geeky kids that would rather read a good book than watch TV, got excited over Readers Digest books, and lived for Harry Potter. I also read when I'm nervous, since I'm waiting for my A level results it seemed a good choice to order some new books.

Flowers in the attic by Virginia Andrews
Little women by Louisa May Alcott
Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen

Anyone read any of these? What did you think of them?

After I ordered the books, my parents told me they used to have Little Women and the whole of The Dollanganger series (the series that Flowers in the attic starts) but gave them to charity shops, grr! I got them off amazon, ordered late Friday and they turned up early this morning (Tuesday) - gotta love amazon!

Oh and another thing..I'm going Cardiff shopping tomorrow and I need to get fake eyelashes to wear on Thursday. I've never worn any before so can anyone recommend any that are cheap/easy to apply/won't make me look like a drag queen?

Are you a book person? Anyone have any book recommendations? Anyone else waiting for A Level results? Good luck if you are!

i can't think of a post title

Evening! Well I suppose it's night now, but whatever..

top: boohoo
belt & shorts: republic

The 'top' is actually a dress tucked into tights, I think I've had it about two years now! Well I had it before I got with my boyfriend and we've been together more than 18 months, so it's been a while hah. You may be familiar with these shorts, I wear them all the time. They're just really comfy so I chuck them on when nothing else appeals to me.

The bra being visible through my top is a consequence of my boobs stretching anything that tries to disguise them. It isn't as visible in real life though, at least I don't think it is! The pictures are quite bad quality anyway as my boyfriend was rushing me to go over his (so he could have food, typical haha), I wish I was better at posing!

Do you have anything from Boohoo? Personally I think they have a lot of tacky stuff, but there's also a fair few hidden gems amongst the tackiness.

What do you think of Boohoo? Hope everyone's had a good day!

marie claire freeeeebie

I don't think I've ever bought Marie Claire before. This month, however, Anne Hathaway was on the cover and there was a free bottle of Ciate nail polish. I love Anne Hathaway & have been wanting to try Ciate for a while, so I pounced.

There was a choice of quite a dark purple or a nude, so naturally I went for the nude - you can never have too many nude polishes! Then when I was painting my nails, I realised it was called My Fair Lady. I love anything even remotely related to Audrey Hepburn, so I totally fell for this polish!

With flash:

Without flash:

Ignore the shininess in the photo with flash - it's basically an exact colour match. I used a models own base coat, then two coats of My Fair Lady, then finished with my models own top coat. One coat gave quite a nice finish; if you apply it properly it looks like you've had a manicure and your nails look just that good. I went for two coats for a bit more opacity. I still had a VNL but I think it looks really nice anyway!

I think this colour would go with most outfits, and it'd be good to wear to work/school if you're not supposed to wear nail varnish. My nails also feel stronger since I've put it on, the way that China Glaze polishes make my nails feel too. Also, I didn't realise you get a whopping 13.5 ml of nail varnish, so £9 is actually quite a reasonable price! Definitely convinced me to try more from Ciate :)

I've had quite a lazy day today, nice and chilled though. I got my exercise done early & then popped up my Bampy's & spent time with him, my step-nan & her granddaughter. Lazy days are the best aren't they?

Do you like nudes or are you more into brights? What do you think of Ciate? How's your day been?

P.S. congratulations if you read this far, I got a bit carried away

shirt: h&m
t-shirt: tesco
skirt: same as y/d (it's clean)
tights: next (diff. pair to y/d)
bracelets: all wallis, except 1 from when I was a baby
nails: barry m - cyan blue

Oh dear, look at the sneaky tag in the first picture! I cut it off when I realised it was there but I couldn't really be bothered to take more pictures (sorry). Also, one more thing to clarify - the t-shirt is plain white but the top looks different because my boobs stretch the t-shirt & flash exaggerates it.

I reached 100 GFC followers yesterday *happy dance*. I know it doesn't seem much to most people but I never expected to reach 10 followers, never mind this many. Thank you to everyone who follows/reads my blog! I can't afford to do a giveaway at the moment but I will do one when I stop being so god damn poor! Also, big thank you to Tonya from The Moptop for being my 100th follower. If you don't already follow her blog, you definitely should - it's one of my favourites!

I'm off to the bank to put money in today, it'll be nice to actually have some money in there for once hah! Have a good day :)!

tramp

I cannot think of anything to write, bad times!

top: superdry, my brother's
skirt: h&m
tights: next

Excuse the dodgy poses, it's one of those days when make-up & hair go wrong, no photos turn out right, and everything just looks wrong *pouts*. I'm a little bit excited about watching Torchwood and Trollied later; though I wish Bones/Lie to me/House was on Sky1 instead. I also miss Gossip Girl. And it's a week until A level results. AND blogger still won't let me put pictures next to each other & I'm still clueless why! Can you tell I'm feeling sorry for myself?

On a happier note, You Me At Six's new song will be played for the first time on Radio 1 later (between 7 & 9 if you're interested), gahhh so excited!

How's your day been? What are you wearing today?

wishlist wednesday

1. I quite like the look of this clutch; £20 from Asos. It's a decent size for a clutch and it's nice & simple.

2. Some flat shoes. I live in brogues so I think it's time I get some new flats for everyday use. There's just none that are jumping out at me as being "must-buys".

3. Fendi perfume, I'm not sure which one. There was a sample in Elle this month & it smelt lovely :)

4. Something from Korres. My local one used to have loads of offers on all the products but it shut down :( So I have to resort to ordering online. Has anyone ever been in a Korres shop though? It's lovely!

What's on your wishlist?

sittin' on the dock of the bay

Keeping it casual -

top: next
bottoms: h&m

Super scruffy outfit today! I only left the house to go and visit my Bampy in hospital, and I tend to faint every time I set foot in a hospital, so I definitely dressed for comfort rather than style! Anyone else faint in hospitals? I have no idea why I do. My brain knows it's a safe place but my body just freaks out and shuts down. Blergh.

I came close to including my face in the photo but chickened out at the last minute and cropped it out hah, I'll do it one day. Eventually!

What are your thoughts on the riots? I'm getting very annoyed with people using excuses about political messages/people being brought up poor. There is no excuse for what they've done! I'm also annoyed with people criticising the emergency services - they're doing what they can! Plus people would complain if they were more hands on, so it's a case of damned if they do, damned if they don't! #rantover.

face it

I've never had an actual sauna, but I do worship my lovely little face sauna. My skin routine before a night out is to exfoliate the night before, then use a face sauna on the day - seriously glowing skin.

Facial saunas have to be one of the most simple beauty treatments ever. You take off the top piece (the purple bit), pour some water into the white section, put the top piece back on, then change the dial to '1'. The top piece is interchangeable with another one that just holds your nose (a nose sauna, basically). I had a leaflet with mine saying that you shouldn't use a face sauna for more than 20 minutes; I do it for 15 minutes and this seems enough.

If you haven't got a face sauna then you can just fill a bowl with boiling water then hold your head over it & put a towel over your head. It really opens up your pores and gets rid of whatever's lurking in them. I go for a bath/shower straight after using mine, then moisturise my face straight after. It seems to do the trick!

I'm not sure if most bloggers use face saunas but none of my friends "in real life" do so it seemed worth posting :)

P.S - sorry about the cheesy title.

yawn

I'm writing this on Saturday night, whilst watching Big Daddy. Anyone remember that film? I love it, so cute and funny! On to a more blog-worthy topic..blogger is full of posts about the nail varnish that came free with Elle this month and I'm about to add to it :).

I initially wanted the orange shade, but I could only find that with the travel sized edition and I have a thing about getting the full sized one. Unfortunately, the full sized magazine only came with the grey. I love it though!

That's without a top coat! Impressive, yes? It only took two coats to get that finish, though it did take a while to dry.

Later on I got bored and did this. The pink is Eyeko Punk Polish and the orange is OPI Hot N Spicy. The grey isn't particularly original but it applied well and has a nice finish. I'd probably give it 3.5 out of 5 stars (it loses points because it took a while to dry and it chipped easily, though that may have been my fault).
What do you think?

P.S. Excuse the slightly dodgy colouring, I didn't get around to doing it until night time. Also, excuse the terrible skin on my hands - eczema's playing up yet again.

what's in my bag

If I'm completely honest, I am ridiculously nosey and love it when bloggers do this post. My bag is nowhere near as interesting, but I'll give it a go..

The bag:

I got it ages ago from Primark and I think it cost like £6, or something ridiculous like that. It's my favourite bag because it's just so versatile and pretty. Also, I'm a total clutz so an across-the-body bag is essential, unless I want to lose my bag and everything in it.

What's in it:

1. Piriton: I have hayfever and about a million other allergies so this is definitely an essential. Plus it tastes delicious.
2. Paco Rabanne Lady Million: I've said it before and I'll say it again - favourite perfume EVER.
3. Boots card & bank card: I always happen to wander into some Boots or other & I resent having to put the points onto my receipt (mainly because I always forget to claim them back and it feels like a waste) and my bank card is just in case of any impulse buys.
4. Prescription: between me & my mother, we probably have about 10 things on repeat prescription. I always tend to carry one around with me since I never realise when I'm running out of something so it's handy to put one in whenever I remember.
5. Chewing gums, for obvious reasons.
6. Clips - in case of fringe emergency.
7. Comb - I don't comb my hair, but I am an avid fan of back-combing.
8. Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream: so much love for this hand cream. It's cheap, non-greasy, quick to soak in, and isn't an irritant.
9. A stupid amount of lip products: Korres Wild Rose lip butter, Clinique "superbalm moisturizing gloss", Carmex original, Korres Guava lipstick in Natural Pink, Korres Cherry Lipgloss in Beige Pink, Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Indulgence.
10. Unguentum 100g: this has been my prescription moisturiser since I was first diagnosed with eczema & it's still one of my favourites. Not the most glamorous of products but definitely worth a try if you have eczema or just dry skin. You can buy it here, £13.75 for 500g. I have no idea how reliable that website is so please try and get it from your local pharmacy first!
11 & 12: house key & £5, another of my "just in case" things.

Nothing particularly exciting in my bag but what do you expect - I only went food shopping and over my auntie's!
What's in your bag? Link here if you've done a similar post!

pow

Hello! I can't believe it's Friday again, time seems to be flying by lately.

tights, skirt, top: h&m.
cardigan: mother's.
ring: wallis.

Just a quick outfit post before I go shopping with my parents. I love the first day after food shopping, there's so much goodies here! Nom. I'll be wearing this with brogues and my trusty Primark bag (favourite bag ever). I tend to carry this cardigan everywhere "just in case." I have no idea what it's in case of, suppose it's just a habit hah.

Blogger's being really silly and won't let me put the pictures next to each other? Hmm, I wish I was good with a computer. Anyway, anyone got any plans for the weekend? I'm having a night in with my boyfriend tonight, don't think we've spent a Friday night together in a while! I may push my luck and see if we can get a Chinese *evil laugh*.

Have a good weekend!

..

Words cannot express how bad I am at nail-art. I really do try but it just doesn't work and it doesn't help that I haven't even got any of the tools hah, can anyone recommend a good ebay seller?

I did these the other day; I'd originally planned on doing an aztec pattern but that went horribly wrong so I changed it to what I hoped would be a dalmatian print but was actually more of a white leopard print, grr.

The colours I used were Essie Blanc, which I found hiding in my drawer for varnishes that didn't impress me, and some rubbish old Rimmel black polish. This was pre-clean-up (I have no idea why) and it's photographed really badly! In person it looks quite chic and cool but sadly it just doesn't translate over the camera.

On a happier note, MY NEW LAPTOP IS HERE. I tried photographing it but it's too shiny so you can just see my reflection and no-one wants to see that hah.

What do you think of nail art?

P.S. Cher Lloyd is number 1. I'm ashamed of Britain.

wishlist wednesday

1. This whole outfit, apart from the necklaces. It's already been stuck into my scrapbook for future reference hah. I'm too lazy to look up the necklaces but the blouse is here for £24.99 and the shorts are here for £29.99, both of them come in different colours. Am I the only one annoyed with the H&M price increases? I will keep buying from there, even if I think it's a bit overpriced, but I'm still a bit miffed!

2. My new laptop. It's a nice new shiny red dell laptop & it could be here tomorrow! Eek, so excited! I've had to share an acer one with my brother for over a year and it's just absolutely rubbish, but the dell one I had before that lasted ages and survived many drops & viruses.

3. This necklace from Tiffany's. I tried to get the picture but it didn't work. It costs £185 so I won't be buying it any time soon but I just want something, anything, from Tiffany's! I'd also die for a Tiffany's charm bracelet. My goal in life is to be able to buy designer clothes and jewellery (isn't that a weird word?) from Tiffany's without having to worry about the cost.

4. That nail dust type thing from superdrug? I've seen it on a few blogs, I think it's by Gosh? I've tried looking on the website but either I'm incredibly stupid or it just has a rubbish layout, so I can't find it on there. Orrr I suppose it could only be available in store.
What's on your wishlist?

to fringe, or not to fringe.

I am seriously the most boring person ever when it comes to hair. Mine has never been dyed/highlighted and the biggest change I make is changing where my parting is.

Since I'm off to university in September, I'm considering getting my full fringe back. So basically, I really want your advice. Should I keep my hair as it is now..

Or should I take the plunge and get my full fringe back? Please excuse the god awful pose ha..

I would've chosen a better picture but there's a grand total of 3 pictures of me with my fringe and you can't really see it in the others. Please help!
